Community CalendarAREA WIDE Moraine Valley Community College is seeking host homes for internationalstudents who will be attending classes during the fall 2010 semester. Homes located along public transportation routes such as 79th Street, 95th Street, and 111th Street are especially needed as most international students do not have a car to get to school. Hosts range from all ages and can be single or a family. A student can be placed in a host home anywhere from a few weeks to a semester or longer. Those who are interested in hosting should have an extra bedroom or space in their home and an understanding that new international students will need help and support as they adjust to living in the United States. The Job Resource Center at Moraine Valley Community College is looking for current students or alumni who work in a non-traditional career to be photographed or videotaped for promotional materials.
