Moraine Valley Community College is seeking host homes for international
students who will be attending classes during the fall 2010 semester.
Homes located along public transportation routes such as 79th Street, 95th
Street, and 111th Street are especially needed as most international
students do not have a car to get to school. Hosts range from all ages and
can be single or a family. A student can be placed in a host home anywhere
from a few weeks to a semester or longer. Those who are interested in
hosting should have an extra bedroom or space in their home and an
understanding that new international students will need help and support
as they adjust to living in the United States. Hosts receive up to $600
for rent each month from the student. Anyone interested can call (708)
974-5756 or email
pearsonn@morainevalley.edu.
