And the winners are...

As part of their ongoing commitment to community beautification, the
Brookfield Jaycees ran a Holiday Best Decorated House contest where 21
nominated houses in the communities of Brookfield and Lyons were judged.
The following winners have been named after being judged on Layout,
Creativeness/Originality, Curb Appeal, Neatness, Overall Appearance,
Technical, and Characters:


3rd Place: The Duerkes Family residence at 9435 Congress Park, Brookfield

2nd Place TIE: The Struck Family residence at 4331 Prairie, Brookfield
and The Flinchum Family residence at 9311 Monroe, Brookfield.

1st Place: The Volke Family residence at 4141 S. Konrad, Lyons

A “Kid’s Favorite” was also named, based on the opinions of children
under the age of 10 who judged. The Flinchum Family residence at 9311
Monroe was named the “Kid’s Favorite” winner.

All winners will receive a sign announcing their place in the competition
and the Volke family will receive a gift basket containing a variety of
items, including prizes from First National Bank of Brookfield, Anytime
Fun Store, Irish Times, and Ross Vondrak, a masseur at Kohler Spa in Burr
Ridge.
