Township of Lyons Assessor’s Office temporarily relocated

The Township of Lyons assessor’s office has temporarily relocated due to
construction of the new Countryside Senior Apartments adjacent to township
offices on Joliet Road in Countryside, Township Supervisor Russell W.
Hartigan said.

Hartigan noted that the second installment of Cook County property tax
bills received by township residents in the last week has resulted in an
increased number of visits to the township’s headquarters by residents
unaware the Assessor’s Office has moved.

“We apologize for any inconvenience the temporary relocation of the
Assessor’s Office may cause township residents,” Hartigan said. “We
appreciate the public’s patience at this time. Assessor Barbara Weyrick
and her staff are responding to all inquiries at their temporary
Countryside location and, as always, they are being enormously helpful to
the public.”

The temporary Assessor’s Office is at 5540 East Avenue, Countryside,
adjacent to the City of Countryside offices. The Assessor’s Office hours
are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will
arrange Saturday and evening meetings by appointment. Residents may
