NewsBrookfield men charged in brawl outside barBy James Pluta A brawl outside of a Brookfield bar last week resulted in felony aggravated battery charges against two men accused of beating up a fellow bar patron. Kevin Hall, 24, and Daniel Williams, 26, both of Brookfield, were arrested in connection with the beating of the 22-year-old La Grange man just prior to 4 a.m. Dec. 6, outside of Johnny B’s Bar and Grill, 8436 Brookfield Ave., according to published reports. The victim, who was not identified, suffered a cut above is right eye — for which he received a dozen stitches at a local hospital — as well as a chipped tooth and bruises to the right side of his head and face. When police responded to a bartender’s call about eight people were fighting outside, they reported witnessing the victim repeatedly kicked and stomped on by Williams. The victim also told police that prior to the beating, he was punched in the head by Hall, causing his fall into the street. The charges were approved by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office on Dec. 8. |
