        Victoria A. Biel (nee Kwilosz). Beloved wife of the late Joseph Biel.
Loving mother of William (Georgia) Biel and Brian (Georgette) Biel.
Dearest grandmother of Audrey (John) Priorello, Mark (Cindy) Biel and
Traci (Dan) Cacioppo. Loving great-grandmother of Jacqueline, Brittany,
Morgan, Zachary Mia and Ava. Fond sister of Frances (the late George)
Williams and many other deceased brothers and sisters. Aunt of many
nieces and nephews.
        Funeral services were held Wed., Dec. 16, from Foran Funeral Home, Summit
to St. Daniel the Prophet Church, Chicago. Interment was in Resurrection
Cemetery, Justice.


MARY BROOKMAN

        Mary Kathryn Brookman (nee Honaker). Beloved wife of the late James
Brookman. Loving mother of Linda Brookman, Lavinia O’Toole, Elizabeth
Kimminau, the late James (Donna) Brookman and late Stephen Brookman. Dear
grandmother of 7. Great-grandmother of 4. Fond sister of Ann (Ben) Lee
and Shirley Wyatt. Sister-in-law of Vida White and Iva Taylor. Aunt of
many nieces and nephews.
        Funeral services were held Fri., Dec. 11, at Foran Funeral Home, Summit.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.


JAMES DOBRY
        James C. Dobry, a resident of Willow Springs and a retired dock operator
with Yellow Trucking, died Thurs., Dec. 10, in Edwards Hospital,
Naperville at the age of 67.
        Survivors include two daughters, Adrienne (Scott) Hamlin and Joanne Dobry
Spear; one son, Paul (Anacely) Dobry; 4 grandchildren; two sisters,
Gladys (Ken) Petersen and Frances (Allen) Vasek; and many nieces and
nephews.
        Visitation was held Sun., Dec. 13, at Zarzycki Manor Chapels, Willow
Springs. Funerals services were held Mon., Dec. 14, at the funeral home
followed by private interment.


LOUIS LOPEZ SR.

        Louis Lopez Sr. Army veteran of the Korean War. Beloved husband of Simona
(nee Ramirez). Loving father of the late Louis Lopez Jr., Irene (Ray)
Banks, Linda DeCola, Frank (Debra) Lopez and Lisa (Jose) Velazquez.
Cherished grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of 17. Fond brother of
Sally Gallardo. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
        Funeral services were held Thurs., Dec. 17, from Foran Funeral Home,
Summit to St. Jane de Chantal Church, Chicago. Entombment was in
Resurrection Garden Mausoleum, Justice.


WILLARD HAIR
        Willard L. Hair, a resident of Brookfield and a broker, died Fri., Dec.
11, in his home at the age of 77.
        He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
        Survivors include his wife, Donna Hair (nee Miller); four daughters,
Jeanne (Tom) Krier, Jackie (Tom) Festle, Janice (Ed) O’Connor and Jocelyn
(Tom) Purtell; one son, Bill (Jeanel) Hair; one step-son, Robert
Wentland; one step-daughter, Dena Robbins; and 14 grandchildren.
        He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard G. and Grace Hair.
        Visitation and services were held Mon., Dec. 14, at Hitzeman Funeral
Home, Brookfield.


BESSIE OPLATEK
        Bessie Oplatek, a resident of La Grange and an executive secretary, died
Sun., Dec. 13, in her home at the age of 88.
        Survivors include one daughter, Linda (John) Stock; one sister, Mildred
Mentzer; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
        She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Oplatek; and her parents,
Stanley and Ernastina Sika.
        Visitation was held Wed., Dec. 16, at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield.
Funeral services were held Thurs., Dec. 17, at the funeral home followed
by interment in Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago.


JAN SADELSKI
        Jan Sadelski, a resident of Palos Hills and a painter and a former
fireman in Poland, died Fri., Dec. 11, in Provena St. Joseph Hospital,
Joliet at the age of 51.
        Survivors include his wife, Helena Sadelski (nee Majerczyk); two
daughters, Zofia (Wojciech) Dzierzega and Magdalena Sadelski; one son,
Krzysztof Sadelski; his mother, Helena Sadelski (Nee Smalec); six
sisters, Ludwika (Andrezej) Walkosz, Maria (Wladyslaw) Majerczyk, Anna
(Kazimierz) Kaplan, Janina, Helena and Jozefa Sadelski; and two brothers,
Stanislaw and Jozef (Ewa) Sadelski.
        Visitation was held Tues., Dec. 15, and Wed., Dec. 16, at Zarzycki Manor
Chapels, Chicago. Funeral services were held Thurs., Dec. 17, from the
funeral home to St. Camillus Church followed by interment in Resurrection
Cemetery, Justice.


EDWARD SCESNEWICZ
        Edward S. Scesnewicz, a resident of Bridgeview and a machinist, died
Thurs., Dec. 10, in La Grange Hospital at the age of 82.
        Survivors include one daughter, Laura (John); 2 grandchildren; 1
great-grandchild; two brothers, John and Arthur; one sister, Irene
McGrath; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Paul Fryer.
        He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; and two brothers, Raymond
and Alfred.
        Visitation was held Sun., Dec. 13, at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home,
Justice. Funeral services were held Mon., Dec. 14, from the funeral home
to St. Fabian Church, Bridgeview. Entombment was in Resurrection Cemetery
Garden Mausoleum, Justice.

Steele and Thomas J. (Tina) Steele. Dear grandmother of Tracy, Michael,
Kenneth L. III, Beth, Becky, Brandon and Hannah. Great-grandmother of
Deanna, Jacob and Zachery. Fond sister of Frank and Cheryl. Aunt of Paul
and the late Christopher. Step-daughter of William Kleemann.

        Anna Sowa, a resident of Oak Lawn and a janitor-maintenance worker, died
Thurs., Dec. 10, in Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn at the age
of 73.
        Survivors include her husband, Alexander Sowa; two daughters, Maria
(Wolciech) Kuros and Zofia (Jan) Ciszek; one son, Tadeusz (Anna) Sowa; 8
grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Teresa and Franciszka;
and many nieces and nephews.

Justice. Funeral mass was held Thurs., Dec. 17, at Our Lady Mother of the
Church, Willow Springs followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery,
Justice.


MARY TODOROVIC
        Mary Todorovic (nee Stanislawska), a resident of Orland Park and a baker,
died Thurs., Dec. 10, at Palos Community Hospital at the age of 88.
        Survivors include one niece, Irena Weryk; and many other nieces and nephews.
        She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacy Stanislawska and Jadwiga.
        Visitation and services were held Sat., Dec. 12, at Our Lady Mother of
the Church, Willow Springs followed by interment in Resurrection
Cemetery, Justice. Funeral arrangements were handled by Damar-Kaminski
Funeral Home, Justice.


ANDREW WOLNY
        Andrew E. Wolny, a resident of Bolingbrook and a maintenance man for S K
Tool Co., died Thurs., Dec. 10, in his home at the age of 55.
        Survivors include his son, Michael (Monica); two grandchildren; his
parents, Zofia (nee Szumilas) and Alfons Wolny; three brothers, Roland
(Julie), John and Robert (Angie); 2 nieces; and many relatives and
friends.
        Visitation was held Sun., Dec. 13, at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home,
Justice. Funeral services were held Mon., Dec. 14, from the funeral home
to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, Willow Springs.

        Charlotte B. Zagorski, a resident of Chicago, died Mon., Dec. 7, at the
age of 98.

great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl (the late Marie) and Raymond (the
late Irene); three brothers-in-law, Raymond (Lottie), John (the late
Helen) and Leo (the late Marie); two sisters-in-law, Gertrude (the late
Edward) Kubiak and Frances (the late Anton) Bowkowski; and many nieces
and nephews.
        She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; one brother, Robert;
and one sister-in-law, Jeanette (Adam) Mars.

ANN ZUREK

        Anne M. Zurek, age 86 of Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, passed away
at Loyola Foster McGaw Hospital in Maywood on Dec. 8. Anne will be missed
by her many dear friends and neighbors.
